Hammer & Marple

DeeDee (can be seen on Happy Homes page) had her kittens via c-section on May 28/07. After 45 minutes of persistent massage, two of the four who weren't breathing when born were revived! Congrats DeeDee on four beautiful babies!!! Half of the kittens have found happy homes, leaving Hammer and Marple searching for their forever pad!

Rescued by a concerned citizen from an abusive situation outside of a local drinking venue, this girl is safe and sound now. She's full of love and ready to curl up on a willing lap.

We call this girl Xena, because she's our little warrior. After finding her way to the doorstep of a very big cat lover, Xena is recovering from the numerous facial injuries she endured. Her nails were down to the quick and one was pulled out, leaving a nasty infection. She has undergone surgery to fix the openings on her face and is on medication for her paws. Our vet can only speculate that she may have been thrown from a car. Despite her pain, she's a very affectionate girl and is looking for that special someone to keep her safe from now on.

Parker is kind of a loner but he will occasionally make time for a quick wrestle with his foster siblings. He enjoys listening to human speech, often mocking it silently. He will agree to short petting sessions that don't go to the "being held" stage......just because he's not that kind of kitty!

When Tia came into PAWS custody, it was noticed that she didn’t walk correctly. Upon further vet examination, we found the she had a fractured right femoral head. She has since undergone surgery to rectify this painful condition and is doing well. She is beginning to play and cavort carefully!

He is loyal and gets along with other dogs once thru the introduction stage. Benji does not do well with children or smaller animals. Born March 10/08, this girl is currently 18 inches tall and black & white short haired. Her mom is a 5 yr old German Shepherd cross and her dad is a 2 yr old border collie. She loves the company of other dogs but is scared of cats. She's shy but very sweet and playful once she is warmed up to you. She's house-trained but loves spending her days outside. Sandy wandered into an Edwin area yard a few months ago and has never left. She is outdoors always and needs people around or she wanders. She is a good girl, very friendly and not yappy.
