Alana and her team at The Dog Den offer grooming of all dogs that come into care. This helps them feel fresh, look fabulous and find the homes they deserve. Thanks Dog Den!

PAWS would like to give a huge thank you to Mr. Jordan Walker Martin’s grade 4 classroom (EAMS) for their very generous monetary donation. During their Social Studies class they were looking at ways to use their power as active citizens in the community. PAWS was chosen as the recipient of their fundraiser. The school showcased their pets and collected money for PAWS – $322.95! We are very appreciative of the donation.  It was so nice to see young people thinking of others in the community.

PAWS was pleasantly surprised by Stride Credit Union celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Week. The FEO team from the Royal Road branch donated goodies for the critters, including toys and treats, food and supplies. “Kind people are the best kind of people” – thank you!

Portage Clinic sold candy on Valentine’s Day and the proceeds came to PAWS! Thank you for your support and donation!

Thank you Krista’s Kupcakes – what a sweet surprise! $650 raised and donated! PAWS is so grateful for fundraisers like this during this time when we can not hold events.

Angel Tags for the Adoptables was kindly organized and hosted by Best West Pet Foods Portage la Prairie. Thank you to those who thoughtfully donated the many fun and functional items for the cats and dogs. The holiday season was made merrier for the animals in care – and the festive fun continues on!

Kenny’s K9 surprised the adoptable dogs with Pack Boxes for Christmas. Thank you so very merry much!

Two very generous, thoughtful children, Kit and Wren, decided to purchase Christmas gifts for the PAWS’ animals. Here is one of our cats, Chester, accepting the gifts from Kit and his mom. The gift bags had dishes, food and toys for our adoptable animals. PAWS thanks you so much for this donation. We greatly appreciate it!

The Co-op Staff Association so kindly chose PAWS as one of the charities receiving a Christmas gift. Brianne stopped by with $200 worth of gift cards! Donations are vital for the continued success of PAWS helping animals in need. The new shelter building in the background is a major investment, and once completed, will be a great advancement in accomplishing our mission: To improve the quality of life of stray and abandoned companion animals. Thank you Homestead Co-op Staff Association!

A big THANK YOU to the Portage la Prairie K-ette Club for the donation! Donations such as this help animals like Samantha in care!

In lieu of Christmas presents at school, Sydney and Anika opted to make donations to several charities. PAWS was honoured to be one of the recipients! Adoptable Earl graciously accepted the cheque, and a cuddle, from Anika. Thanks so much for this generous gift, and Merry Christmas!

Many thanks to Pet Valu Portage la Prairie and customers for supporting the cats & dogs of PAWS! Donations were received during their Companions for Change event. You’re absolutely pawsome!

Thank you, Pet Valu Portage la Prairie! And Pet Valu customers! During Pet Appreciation Month donations of food, supplies and toys were collected. And a spacious cat kennel, a favourite model used at the shelter, was donated as well. On top of that, $1171.00 was raised for our new building! This generosity is overwhelming and so very much appreciated!

A sincere thank you to everyone involved in the East End Market on September 16th! $344 was raised in support of PAWS!

A big Thank You to everyone who donated items to, worked at, and came out to shop at our annual garage sale in September. We raised $1457.55!

Thank you, Portage Toyota & RV, for your donation of $1500! They raised $800 from their Canada Day drive in movie event and graciously topped up the donation to $1500. Thank you so much!

A very big thank you to the grade two class at Westpark School for their wonderful donation to PAWS. The class was studying animals and life cycles and decided to do a project to help the PAWS animals. They collected items from our wish list from the early and middle year’s classrooms. The high school students decided to support a local business and purchased popcorn from our local theatre for the volunteers at PAWS. The popcorn was delivered to Visions of Independence who volunteer at our shelter every Wednesday morning. These donations are greatly appreciated and we thank you very much. Dylan, a PAWS alumnus, was present to help receive the donations and he managed to “shake a paw” with most of the students.

How generous and thoughtful! Coven had a birthday party and instead of gifts he asked for donations for PAWS. These supplies and monetary gift are most appreciated and useful towards the continued care of the animals in need. Thank you, Coven and party guests!

A big THANK YOU to the team at Kenny’s K9 for holding a nail clinic in support of PAWS! The dogs thank you for this special treatment as well!

PAWS is so fortunate to have such amazing supporters! Thank you Kayla at Kore Muscle Therapy & Yoga. Her fundraising yoga class and raffle raised $1045! Wow!
