Barney

Barney is a joyful dog who is slowly overcoming his fear of new people. Aside from that, he has no other fears—not even thunderstorms bother him. He’s happy and ready for anything.

He loves playing with other dogs and makes friends easily. Barney spends all day playing with his foster brothers and visiting dog friends. He’s the life of any dog park and has great stamina for nonstop play. He’s also comfortable around people in dog parks, often approaching them with curiosity and accepting attention. He dislikes horses but is eager to play with birds. Despite his confidence with dogs, Barney sticks close to either another dog or his human and isn’t very independent and going to a home with another dog is a MUST!

He isn’t interested in fetch but loves chasing dogs that are fetching. Barney enjoys playing in water but swims only when necessary. He’s a chewer and needs plenty of chew toys and bones to keep him occupied, or he’ll find something else to chew. He can chew through his leash if given the chance. He especially likes Kongs filled with peanut butter and puzzle toys with hidden treats.
